Are You Ready to Trust? – Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle

Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles out there, but there must be a thing that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? Something which triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, what was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think about your daily life since it seems to be nowadays with regards to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who’s my source?” So once we talk about the final stage to the awakening being pure trust, it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It’s kind of like creating a big house of cards, stacking on a single card after the other. Then the good wind occurs and poof, it’s just blown over. It can’t even stand a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary authors a course in miracles. It’s so transitory; It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in anything else; all those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It certainly comes down to the essence of who’s my brother? Can it be Spirit or matter? Can it be Spirit or form? Furthermore how many of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried this one?So you’re asking the question, “If someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where all of this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will reveal is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination. That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, is not reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to build his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the bond between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I’ve given everything I see all this is it’s for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number 4, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s referring to thoughts. First He’s referring to perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes back with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You can see he’s wanting to melt everything together and show the final veil or stage of awakening, which is trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time for you to teach us there is no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that’s the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us they are all illusions and they are all equally meaningless. That’s exactly the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What type of things can you invest in, nowadays?
